She joined ESSOR as Director of Finance in 2001, following the acquisition of a major property and casualty insurance firm located in downtown Montréal. In 2008, company president Michel Duval increased her responsibilities to include managing the Human Resources, Technology and Administration teams. Today, these teams have completed more than 60 acquisitions. Ms. Lamothe’s priorities include fostering a pleasant workplace, recognizing achievements and promoting mutual help between team members. She encourages employees to come forward with ideas and to believe in their potential and ability to be self-reliant—this is what drives her in her everyday work.
