A native of Thetford Mines, Michel Duval joined the ESSOR Insurance team in 1980 and became a licensed broker in 1983. In 1985, Mr. Duval became President of ESSOR Insurance.
Under his leadership, ESSOR grew exponentially. His business model is a knowledgeable mixture of organic growth and integrating new partnerships of brokerage firms. This sums up perfectly the DNA of ESSOR and its successful progress over the years.
The local development of companies and social activities in the regions of Quebec is a priority for me. Giving it to future generations is a human value that perfectly illustrates ESSOR’s role in the community.
It is always difficult to describe oneself and share one’s passions with others. In my case, I would say that I’m fond of sports and like playing golf and running during the summer.
When winter bares its teeth, downhill skiing becomes my favourite sport, which I pursue as often as possible, skiing down the slopes of Mont-Tremblant or Mont Adstock near my native Thetford Mines.
I think that a balance between my corporate life and my personal and family life was always at the top of my list when I think of describing myself. It isn’t always easy but I do think I’ve gotten there.
