Coming from a family of brokers, the choice of Alexandre to go into the industry was made quickly. He chose to study business administration with a minor in insurance and another in human resources. He began his career as a commercial line’s underwriter.
After five years as an underwriter, he made the leap to brokerage, where he rose in the ranks. Alexandre came to ESSOR in 2017, with the acquisition of a large insurance firm in Quebec City. He is now responsible for commercial lines and surety insurance at ESSOR.
For me, a broker for regions and major centres, ESSOR Insurance is an ally of its clients and its business partners.
I believe I can say that these are not just hobbies, and some describe me as a bit of a maniac! In winter it’s skiing! I can count on the fingers of one hand the winter days when I’m not skiing if I’m not working ─ from season opening in November until closing at the end of April. When it’s not so nice for skiing, I do a half-day and ride a fat bike! In summer it’s the same for cycling. A mountain bike most of the time and a road bike when conditions are unfit for mountain biking! In between seasons, I go hiking.
I don’t want to wait for retirement to live my dream! I want to see all the greatest mountains in the world and go there to follow my passions: skiing and cycling. And a bit of tourism once I’m there.
