When you make a claim for an accident covered by your insurance policy, Intact Insurance promises to contact you within 30 minutes and to find you the best possible solution for your situation without you having to negotiate.
An accident specialist at Intact Insurance will explain to you, among other things:
- The coverage provided in your insurance policy
- The emergency measures you should take in the event of burglary or water damage, for example
- Your vehicle replacement privileges
- Temporary accommodation procedures, if applicable.
Specialists can also help you find a local mechanic, car dealership, hotels or restaurants and anything else you may need in the event of an accident.
In case of total loss of a vehicle, you can choose to:
- Receive compensation based on the total loss, or
- Have your vehicle repaired (if it is deemed safe and if the cost of repair doesn’t exceed the total value of the car).

Finally, should Intact Insurance fail to meet its Claims Service Guarantee in the event of an accident, the company promises to rectify the situation and reimburse your annual auto or home insurance premium up to a maximum of $1,000*.
